The Framework

Your business isn't broken.
It has fractures.

Most small business owners know something isn't working in their digital world. They just can't name it. So they download another app, sign up for another tool, watch another tutorial — and nothing changes.

The Four Fractures framework names what's actually happening. Read each one. Check how many feel like yours. That's your starting point — not someone else's strategy. Yours.

You don't have to fix all four today. You just have to see them. That's the whole first move.

The Assessment

Check every fracture
that sounds like you.

Read each card. Be honest. The ones that sting a little — those are yours.

Fracture 01

🧠

AI Tool
Amnesia

The Forgotten Tool

You have this fracture if —

  • You signed up for ChatGPT, Canva AI, or Gemini and haven't opened it in 3+ weeks
  • You watched a tutorial, felt inspired, went back to doing everything manually
  • You have 4 AI apps and use 0 of them consistently
  • You know AI could help your business but don't know where to actually start
  • You've described AI as "overwhelming" or "not for me yet" in the last 30 days

Audit Question

Name one AI tool you downloaded in the last 6 months. When did you last open it — and what did you actually use it for? If you can't answer that, this fracture is yours.

Fracture 02

📱

Notification
Amnesia

The Attention Drain

You have this fracture if —

  • You start the day reacting — emails, DMs, alerts — before doing one intentional thing
  • You have unread notifications in the thousands (and stopped counting)
  • Your phone runs your schedule, not the other way around
  • You feel "busy" but can't name one thing you got done today
  • You've said "I'll reply to that later" — and it's been 3 weeks

Audit Question

How many apps send you notifications right now? Are any of them intentionally turned off? If you've never configured your notification settings, this fracture is costing you hours every week.

Fracture 03

🪦

The Project
Graveyard

The Unfinished Business

You have this fracture if —

  • Your Google Drive has folders from a pivot you made two years ago
  • There's a half-built website, an abandoned course, or a Notion board you never reopened after week one
  • You start strong and stall — every single time — around week three
  • Your to-do list has items that have been there since last quarter
  • You know exactly what needs to happen next — but haven't done it in 60 days

Audit Question

Open your Google Drive right now. How many folders haven't been touched in over 90 days? That number is your graveyard count. No judgment — just data.

Fracture 04

💳

The Subscription
Bleed

The Silent Expense

You have this fracture if —

  • You pay for at least 3 tools that do overlapping things
  • You're not 100% sure what's being charged to your card each month
  • You have annual subscriptions you forgot about until the renewal email hit
  • You've said "I should cancel that" — more than once — about the same tool
  • You couldn't quickly list every software subscription you currently pay for

Audit Question

Pull up your bank statement for last month. Count every subscription charge. Add it up. That number, minus what you use weekly, is your bleed rate. Write it down.

Your Results

How many fractures
did you count?

No passing score. Every fracture you identified is energy leaking out of your business — energy that belongs to your work, not your chaos.

Fractures

Very dialed in — or didn't read closely enough. Either way, let's talk. 😄

1

Fracture

One leak. Manageable. You know what to fix — now you need the how.

2

Fractures

Common for founders who've been building a while. You've outgrown your setup.

🌻

The Rule: Name It Before You Fix It

You cannot build a stable digital foundation on a fracture you haven't named. The Audit Guide is step one. The Walk & Talk is step two. Baby steps lead to walking. Walking leads to running. That's the whole plan.

Next Steps

You've seen the fractures.
Here's what comes next.

01

Write Down Your Count

Write the number. Then write which fractures you identified. This is your baseline — you'll want to compare it in 90 days.

02

Pick Your Biggest One

Which fracture costs you the most right now — time, money, or mental energy? Start there only. One fracture at a time.

03

Stop Adding. Start Removing.

Cancel one subscription you haven't used in 30 days. Turn off one notification channel. Close one graveyard folder. Do it today. That's a pasito.

04

Book the Walk & Talk

30 minutes. Free. Lou asks the one question that reframes everything. No pitch — just forward. This is where the real work starts.
